Well I'm trying to get into powder coating and my buddy offered to give me his electric stove that the previous owners of his new house had left behind (he prefers gas).
He was afraid that the stove would scratch the bedliner as we slid it to the front of the bed, I laughed at him, I told him, I don't giva sh!t, scratch it, it's got a lifetime guarantee.
First we had a helluva time sliding it towards the cab to begin with, but once we got it there, without tying it down the thing didn't even budge. I went over railroad tracks and took turns. I even kinda pushed the truck a bit to see if I could get the stove to slide around, and the sob didn't even move. Drug the stove out when I got home and sure enough not even a scratch, (not that you could tell anyways).
I'm extremely impressed with the results, and I'll never go back to a drop in. I hate to sound like a sales man here, bet hey the sh!t works.

btw this was the first time I really got to use my bedliner, of course I throw boards back there and minor sh!t, but this was a true test.

Yeah, that sounds like the real deal in bedlining.
I despise my drop in, I keep a rubber anti-slip mat in it liberated from when I used to pull big paper rolls with a big truck. I also use an adjustable cargo bar to brace stuff in the bed.

Yeah, I've got a Rhino-liner spray on with a lifetime warrenty. One accident (rearended), 24 hay bales, assortied boxes and household items from moving, a refridgerator, and some scrap my dad wanted to move later I've got not a single scratch. Cost was about the same as a drop in, and it's a -much- better product! Hell, you'd be hard pressed to actually slip on it even if it was wet, a problem with drop-ins.

No doubt, you can slip on a drop-in when it's dry, LOL!

Um, unfortunately I have managed to discover the Line-X is no protection from an errant chain saw.
I happened to be out bucking up a tree and was cutting limbs to length over the tailgate. Damn thing bucked on me and nicked the top of the tailgate, right through the Line-X. Thank god I got the over-the-rail spray-on. Can't imagine how much it would've cost to have that spot repainted!
Line-X dealer charged me $30 to fix the problem.

I've got to say that I've had similar results with my Line-X. The stuff is semi-indestructible and HIGHLY skid-resistant!! This is my second vehicle that I've gotten Line-X'ed, and I don't even have the slightest regret on either of them.

Beings that the shops are independently owned, prices will vary. And let's not forget that colored liner costs more.

I went with the basic black in mine...for $385 without tax.
