will the old y pipe work on a new set of headers on a 3.9 or will i have to replace the old one with a new one? if it needs to be replaced does anyone know where i can get one? thanks


black 3.9, headers on the way, ram air hood on the way, 180 therm, 8.5 mm wires, 3923's, accel coil, cold air intake, stage 2 chip, 3" Gibson cat back (deciding on the tb)

Mine is a 94 3.9 and the Y pipe hooked right up to it, you might have to pull or push one side a little. Hope this helps.

I have the JBA's on my '99 and installation wasn't too bad. The instructions JBA gives are pretty straight forward.

The first thing you'll want to do is pick up some penetrant and soak the manifold bolts overnight for a couple days. They can come out rather dry and if they snap you're screwed. Keep the penetrant handy when you're taking out the bolts and if you feel any resistance spray them down again and wait a couple minutes.

As for installation, it took me a couple hours to do everything. The worst part of the installation was getting the rear bolt on the driver's side in as there's very little room to turn a wrench.
