It would have to be one heck of a good time to be worth it.. cuz you would wreck your suspension.

HAHA! This brings back memories! When I was in my junior and senior year of highschool we headed to the beach when school was out like everybody else. One of my buddies had a jacked up z71 and we got this idea to pick up women on the strip. We went to wally world and picked up a water proof tarp and lined the bed of the truck, then we filled it up with water and drove down the strip. It worked great too. All kinds of hoochie in the back of the truck.

OPINIONS ARE LIKE....WELL, YOU KNOW THE REST!!

Down in Galveston I used to see a mini truck,(Yota or Mazda or something), and it had a tub with water in the back.

Just get the gallons you want, X ~ 8lbs. a gallon, that'll tell you how the suspension will handle it. Got a Trailer towing pack? I think my QC is rated at towing 6,750lbs. but I guess that's not on the bed!

Good luck, let us know how it turns out.

I have a 2001 CC 3.9 4x4 with the HD trailer towing and it is rated at 1750 lb. payload capacity. That equates to roughly 218 gallons of water, but that is with absolutely no one in the bed. If you are going to put people back there, that will cut down on the amount of water you can hold. Plus, I am not sure I would ride with that kind of weight back there for any length of time. I like my truck way too much to ruin it just for giggles, but hey, to each his own!!!

WHAT ya do is take a heavy tarp double it up lay it inside bed, and make sure plenty hangs over edges, fill with water, and WALLA a small pool. I have seen this done. it works well. and the suspension just bottoms to the bump stops. when ya want to drain you stand clear, and open the tail gate and WHOOSH out comes the water...

If you do drive witht the water in there remember to keep the windows closed or a panic stop will drown your poor driver! Seen an mpeg of that somewhere, can't remember where.

If you're going stationary, throw a waterbed heater under the tarp then all you need are some bubbles! 8-)

Middy.

if ya want water...then think about it!
a small waterbed mattress, a cooler full of beer and a couple blondes equate to a way better time than a hot tub dakota filled with other hairy asses tryin to steal your action right?
think about it... what chick wouldn't love a guy with a hot DAK, waterbed in tow, with all the tools in the toolbox?

Water is goddamn heavy though. With te dak
payload of 1750 you could fill the entire box
about a foot or so up. Thats already 1750
lbs(or so) of water. You need a truck that can
support a lot more to fill the entire bed with
water
