Subject: Any aftermarket tubular bed rails?

I'd like to add some tubular bed rails but I was wondering if there were any options other than the Mopar units. And is the chrome finish a good option or does it get worn off quickly?

I put a set of Lund bed rails on my girlfriends Quad / DAK about a month ago. They look pretty kick! Makes the bed look look a little higher. The Lund bars hav hidden mounting, gotta drill 4 holes in the bed. Pretty simple. Be careful not to overtighten the bolts or you could deform the top of the bed! bought hers from Summit Racing for about $80 / Chrome.
Make sure you put a good coat of wax on them before you install them.

Sorry, DoubleDakota, I have the 6.5ft bed CC. I would like to know what you thought of the quality of the rails and the chrome finish. You can e-mail me if you'd rather not use bandwidth here.

not a problem. just making room in the garage for more mustang parts. someday that one will be done. as for the quality they are solid and hefty. they came on the truck when i bought it as well as the step bars. i wouldnt have used the steps because of the way they mount. my wifes truck went under the cab mounts. quicker and seems more secure. the bed bars seem useless other then decoration as there is not really any way to tie things down.
