alright heres my dilema.......

i got my 2/3 drop put on, i noticed my tire was slighly slanted, i took it back and they tried to re-allign it, they said they couldnt cause my ball joints were almost blown, so i get the ball joints fixed at the dealer where they also pop the good news on me that my brakes are almost metel to metal, so take it back to the place who did the drop and say "i paid for an allignment when i got my drop put on and you guys didnt do it because my ball joints were bad, i got them fixed could you still do the allignment that i paid for?" the guy hassels the hell outta me and now im stuck with a f'ed up slanted tire bad brakes and no help :(

i was thinkin the guy who put the drop on didnt know what he was doin and did something to cause the ball joints to go out. if anyone would give me some suggestions on what i should do or whats goin on the help would be appreciated
btw this is a 2001 3.9 2wd dakota with 23,000 miles on it.

Ball joints and brakes worn out at 23k miles! You must be driving it hard.

Tell your drop shop to take out the kit plus refund your money OR do the alighnment. If you paid with a credit card you have some recourse and leverage by threatening the drop shop that you will tell the credit card company to withhold their funds. If you paid cash the drop shop is holding the good cards and you'll have to use the right amount of reason and pressure to get them to comply. Good Luck, keep trying until you are satisfied, don't give in or give up!

Puttng the drop kit in shouln't wear out your ball joints and the worn out brakes aren't they're fault either. If you don't confuse these issues you should be able to get them to do the alignment now that you have the ball joints replaced. Ask to speak to the owner or manager and tell him you just want your alignment now that the ball joints have been replaced. Don't mention the brakes or accuse them of screwing up the ball joints, you probably had non-greasable ball joints and they are known to be problematical.
