 Subject: Check Engine Light when low on fuel

Ok .... I have been checking this web page out ever since I bought my 2000 QC. I love the damn truck. I have had it into the dealer and it is up to par on any recalls/TBS. Here is my problem if I get down to just under 1/4 tank of fuel I notice that the performance is not that great at low speeds. So I fill the tank and inevidably the check engine light comes on it runs fine and one or two "trips" the light goes off. Trouble cleared. this has happened 3 tanks in a row. I hate the fact of paying someone $50.00 or $60.00 bucks to pull the code and tell me whats wrong. Wish I had a reader. Any help would be great.
