Why not both! Spray the bed first, then cut a rug for it later so it can come in/out whenever you need it. If you only want one of the two... I say spray!!

i was thinking of the samething about 3 years agao. i went with the rug, but i have a toneu cover. since you dont have one, i would go with the spray.

sometimes i take off the toneu, and the carpet looks kind of dumb being out in the open. another thing is, you probably dont want bird crap and other things

I highly recommend a spray-in liner. I didn't have one in my last Dak and after 2 years the bed ended up looking 20 years old... dented up, scratched everywhere, and rusting in places where the paint cracked off. Good thing it was a lease!

Now I've got a rhino liner and its great, even just for the fact that you hardly need tie downs anymore because it prevents stuff from sliding around.

Well here's a vote for the bedrug. I have one and it is bullet proof. On top of that nothing slides, much better in that regard to a spray in. Also - it is easy on the knees if you're in there loading stuff. Wash mine out with high pressure washer.

well my bed was looking in horsesh!t condition (the last owner used it last time to hual lnadscaping rocks and there was still about 20 lbs of them left in the back end when i bought it, an added bonus i guess) so i sanded it down on the sides and used the spray on and on the sides and tailgate i put one of the rubber mats and now it looks great, looks even better due to the fact i have a black truck and the spray and mats are black, w00t

I really like that the bedrug protects the bed better from dents and stuff but I like the way the spray in looks better...at least without a topper that is. I'm still trying to decide if I should get a fiberglass tonneau cover or not. I had one on my last truck and they look great but they are a pain in the neck to haul stuff with. I guess if I get the topper I'll get the bedrug and if not i'll get the spray in. I think the bedrug would look kinda wierd just sittin there.

If you spray you can get it so that it covers the top part of the bed....you wont scratch your paint puting things in....

I saw a truck with a spray-in bedliner that had the appearance of wrinkle finish paint. Looke really sharp.

Any clues who produces this one?

Try using stall mats. They're about 1" thick rubber mats used in horse stalls. Even with that abuse they rarely break. The best way to cut them is with a utility knife and they tend to run $38 for a 4x6' sheet (I used two). They won't scratch your bed up, stuff doesn't slip and slide, and depending on the mats themselves they won't even slip when wet. I've repeatedly stabbed mine with my Spyderco and never once made it even 1/4" through.

Stuff that hasn't slipped on the mats:
Oil catch can in a plastic bag
Bales of alfalfa
Entertainment center in a cardboard box
Garbage cans
Our dog
