I got a ticket today for having red flashers in the front of my truck, I've heard you can use the white ones though, does anybody have the law so I can print it out for Texas?

I did some searching and here is what I found.
Transportation code Chapter547.324
Texas Transportation Code-Restricted Turn Signals
I think you got nailed under subsection D. Front turn signals have to be either white or amber or a color in between.

Yep,,in TX, your turn signals can be anywhere between amber to white/clear.
You can NOT use red up front (I think that's anywhere in the US),,as that it is used soley for back of vehicles.
I don't think you can fight it,,,unless you claim color blindness, and thought they were amber.

I know the judge pretty good and I told the cop that I thought red would be better than white because the guy that sent me the clear corners accidentally gave me red bulbs instead of amber, guess we'll see what happens!!

I just got a ticket for running a red light. It wasn't entirely my fault though. I was right behind a bus and I couldn't see the light until I was in the intersection. And I couldn't see the side stop light either because there was a truck there too. On the ticket it says I was only going 20, so I wasn't tring to run it. Do you think I can fight it and get off??

You can always try to get out of it, but they may say that you were following the bus too closely and they will make you pay the ticket. Whenever I am in that situation, I always back off far enough that I see the light so I don't enter the intersection on a red, I like my Dakota just the way it is and I don't need to get t-boned for running a red light!

I have the clear corners and the first day I had them installed, I had a tense moment when I realized that a cop was looking rather intently... until I realized that he was checking me out too :)

In Canada only police, fire and ambulance vehicles can display red lights on the front.I'm sure it's the same deal south of the border. If your driving your Dak with red turn signals flashing you'll have everyone moving out of your way. Sure would speed up the trip though.

In almost all states, it's illegal to have either red or blue lights in any location on the front of the vehicle, and no blue lights on the rear - these shades are reserved for emergency vehicles only. My girlfriend got ticketed in my Dak after I put what was supposed to be 'hyperwhite' bulbs in my parking lenses to match my Xenon headlights/signals/fog lights, but they ended up being too blue for some bored cop's taste at 2:30am. We did get the $75 ticket dropped after I put clear bulbs in, but it was still a pain in the ass... As if anyone would mistake my Dakota for an emergency vehicle because the parking lights were slightly blue tinted.

Get this:
I got a friend with a NICE black grand prix. awesome rims and everything. but he had red corners and red neons on it. the thing looked EVIL on the road. but anyways, he got a ticket for the neons being red, so he took them off. then, like a week later, he got a ticket for the corners. instead of a fine, he had to go to court. he figured no big deal, so he changed the bulbs and went by himself (no lawyer) to court. they stuck him with impersonating an emergency vehicle and gave him 12 MONTHS PROBATION !!! For RED TURN SIGNALS !!! if he gets into ANY trouble, it's 15 days in jail. it's like the most serious misdemeanor you can get. he got the same punishment as a guy busted with 2 ounces of weed. BTW it's in Charlotte, NC
