What kinda Dart ya got Middy? I had a '70 340 about 10 years ago. Pevious owner yanked the small block & put a 440 in it! Hair raising to drive, to say the least.

White on Black 1970 340 Swinger 727 8 1/4 SG (2.73:1 yuk) I've been focusing on the mechanical stuff, frame rails and running gear all up to snuff maybe next year I can get the rust blisters in the quarters looked at. Still shows pretty well and a hoot to drive wish I had a 3.23:1 in an 8 3/4 SG.

I thought the 8 3/4 was standard on the 340? Did someone swap it out?
There's a Plum Crazy purple '70 340 that makes the rounds to the local shows here that really takes me back. It's 100% restored and is spotless! Don't know if the purple is the original color, tho.
Love the body style on those cars, & the hood scoops, rally wheels, & bumble bee stripe on the tail really set 'em off.

Yep! It was swapped in for the Bigger bolt pattern on the axels and brake hardware. 4" x5 on the 8 3/4 and 4.5" x 5 on the 8 1/4. Probably done when the PO did the front brake upgrade.
I love mine but I want to fab a hood with a set of 70 cuda scoops in it.
