340 TB? They were carbed not fuel injected. They came with a carter carb until the later years.

I think he means 360 TB, I have a 340 with a holley projection but its still a holley square bore flange. Stock 340 is a spreadbore carter

This isn't stock. I didn't think of that confusing people. It's a fuel injected 340, not 360.

Okay a throttle body doesnt care what its bolted on to,what matters is the intake that its bolted on to,I have a throttle body injected 340,its a holley TB setup and it is a 4 barrel square bore flange,I think holley has a setup for 2 barrle carb itakes aswell,its not just a throttle body tho it has a computer,sensors and electric fuel pump

How did you get the TB to work on your motor? The guy I know with this one has a special sensor on the crank to help the TB work and several other mods to get it to work.

Its a throttle body injection kit made by holley,holley projection 4di,basically its a bolt on kit for older carbed vehicles,fits Dodge,chev and ford square bore intakes,it makes the all around drivabillty much better as far as power over a 750 holley carb,not really much better power wise but starting and everyday driving and economy is much better

They had square bore carbs before they went to the Thermobog carb. The carter AVS carb was a square bore. Same as the new edlbrocks.

and there was a guy a while back said he took a 360 and put in a 318 cam so he got a 340, well thats jsut idiotic to say you have a 340, people may think you have the early 340 that hauled, and then was killed becauce of EPA regulations much like the 440, Hemi, and 383
:-( i wish i had been there and about 25 years old in about 1970, man i would have had fun
