I see that a few of you have got the "Powerslot" Rotors... Just wondering if you would recommend them? I've a 96 Dakota 2x4 with really bad brakes and am looking to up grade to slotted, drilled, or slotted and drilled.... What and who do you recommend? Thanks

Well, it is a little premature for me to say (I installed mine last Tuesday...check my site for photos), but I went the route of PowerSlot rotors & Raybestos Quiet Stop pads recently. This purchase was primarily based on the dozens of Durango-folk's feedback on the national Durango Owners Club forum. You can head over there & search through their forum, but the bottomline is that this set of mods has gotten pretty good reviews...everything from decreased braking distance, more responsive braking, and lessened brake dust.

I would wait to see I used to have a Talon TSi and had cross-drilled rotors and they ended up cracking between some of the holes, I've also talked to alot of people who have had the same problem with them

PowerSlots aren't cross-drilled; so they are not susceptible to the heat & stress fractures found in cross-drilled rotors.

They do offer a set of rotors that are "dimpled" to have the appearance of cross-drilled rotors, but I don't know too many people willing to spend the extra money just for the cross-drilled appearance.

Check out my web site and the manufacturer's web site for photos.

Guess I should ask anyone if they fit on a 96? Doesn't appear too... "QuickRacing"

Hey halo where did you buy the new star washers? Do you have to go through dodge or are the widely available?

I have Powerslots and Hawk brake pads on my 98 Dak 5.2 and they made a huge improvement to my stopping. I am very happy with them.

I agree with the cracked cross-dilled rotors---they must be high quality rotors to drill them but they will be about twice as good as sloted ones. If you're not sure on what you are getting, go with slots-they will be much better than stock. If you have the $$$ and demand the best , get drilled.
