 Subject: Crashed the Dak today

Well I did a number on her today. Merging pn to a cross road thought the guy in front of me went and he did but he stop just out of the line of sight for when there was a break in traffic I went and BAM I slammed into him ard. He was draving a big flatbed truck with a big steel bumper and hitch. Well I uess you know who won that tango. His hitch pushed the bumper through the radaitor and the bumper pushed everything else back. Will find out the total tomarrow but the New GTS hood and SS front bumper cover is a lose and so are the headlight ans fenders and a bunch of other stuff under the hood. Here are some pics of it

i know exactlty how you feel. about 2 months ago i hit a deer about 1 mile from my house. when i hit it i didn't think it really did that much damage, till i popped the hood. all and all it costs 5800 to fix it. at least i got the rock chips in the front end fixed.

Yes, at least you are OK. That sounds so cliche, but then again, I've known more than a few people who got killed or permanently disabled because of crashes. The truck can be fixed thankfully.
Current mods: A MUFFLER. That's it. (For now.)
Future mods: Tonneau cover
Underdrive pulleys
Removal of clutch fan
K&N FIPK
17" rims

Damn man.. glad you're ok. sorry about the truck... I'd rather break a leg and a few ribs than see damage on one of my vehicles. I'll heal with little to no money. (long as i'm still alive that is) The truck won't. (didn't really want to be the only materialistic SOB here, but oh well)

Sorry to hear and see the truck(Ouch!!). I hope you are O.K. I know your pride is hurt. One time I rearended a Ford Bronco w/ a hitch ball in my Mazda 626. $1800 damage and mine was just a new bumber and hood. No internal damage. I hope you get everything fixed and on the road again.

Hey chris, did the airbags blow???? Glad you are ok, if the airbag went, and there is any damage to the block, i regret to say, they may total it.
:(! My stratus i used to have, i cracked the block, and the airbags went and they totaled it.

I couldn't get the pics to work, but I know the feeling. I made a turn sunday night from a lane that I probably shouldn't have, got hit in the left side of the bed right in front of the wheel. Wasn't a huge impact, just heard the guy's horn then felt the rear end getting pushed around the corner. First estimate says $1500 to fix the "dent". =(

What especially sucks is you already had the aftermarket stuff on, if it were still stock it would have been a great time to upgrade. Having the insurance company pay the bill for better aftermarket parts makes it all feel better!

God that was a sweet looking truck too! I put $2,000 worth of mods on my old S-10 before some stupid as drunk chick ran a light and totaled it. Its ok though...got my Dakota now.
