I just got home and I had an experience that changed my outlook on Ford drivers :) Not that I have ever had any REAL bad experiences yet (aside from a Ford Explorer) but this one definitely made my day.

On the way home from work I passed a gold Ford F150, and we essentially played 'tag' for about 20 miles, jumping ahead, falling behind, etc. It was just screwing around basically; no hard core racing.

Eventually the 4 lane highway moved to a 3 lane, and then to a 2 lane. I was all the way in the right hand lane, and so was he. We were passing an on-ramp, and naturally people were merging so I let one or two go ahead of me. They went left, so I was again behind the Ford.

Well, with about 2 feet of lane to my right (right before the on-ramp tapered off) a soccer mom with about 5 kids stuffed into the front/back of her Ford Escape decided she didn't want to wait, and essentially got mostly off, partly on the shoulder and tried to go around me. I wasn't having any of it, and I scooted up, of course, because while it's one thing if there's a lot of on-ramp left, there was almost NONE left.

Well, evidently the Ford guy saw this in his rear view, so he got half-on, half-off the road. I thought at first he was going around the car in front of him, but then he waved me forward, and I caught on. So we moved forward, my right front bumper to his left rear, until the lady had no choice but to get behind me. The Ford guy then drove back on the road, and stuck his hand out the window and threw out a peace sign.

NOW the soccer mom is ticked, and she stomps on the gas to try to get around me, so I do too, and she's even more pissed off that I'm slowly pulling on her. So eventually she gave up and slowed down.

As I drove past the Ford (it was his exit) he again threw up the peace sign and smiled at me, and I did the same to him. I may love Dodges but I have to say that definitely brightened my day. :)
