Oh..... well, if you wanted opinions, mine is that a properly eqipped SRT-10 (15" wheels carrying Mickey ET Drags) would beat the Syclone if the S-15 was completely stock.

I have a buddy with a half-ton 2wd short-bed Ram V-10 (anyone remember the Hayes Hammer??) and it only runs mid 14's on street tires (that's the cast-iron version of the V-10). Give it traction, and it's a 13.90 daily driver with leather seats.

The cast iron V-10 doesn't compare to the viper
V-10. The truck motor gives up at least 140 horsepower and atleast 100 pounds(probably alot more).

And the new v-10 gets 500 ci (instead of 488) and 500 HP instead of the pervious vipers 450. Comparing it to the truck's iron v-10 is way off. The srt-10 even with serious traction problems will still smoke stock syclone.

Yeah, the cast iron V-10 is a really stupid motor.

You guys are crazy. you ever rode in a syclone? Those things are the best designed trucks to run the quarter mile that ever came out. GM had their minds right on that one.

Think about it, a turbocharged 4.3, biggest motor that could be offered by the factory, coupled to a 700R4, which was the same transmission in the vette, 3.42 gear ratio, and sitting on all wheel drive.

These things would and still can outrun a vette in the 1/8 mile and sometimes even the 1/4. And your saying the SRT-10 will outrun it? Not a chance. Red light to red light, it don't stand a chance. There isn't a production machine built that can launch off the line like a syclone.

cyclones are fast, but nothing to special. and to those who think i dont know what i am talking about i owned a semi- modded galant vr-4 which whooped on syclones, and my dart still pulls harder

How can a 68 dart launch better than a turbo AWD truck? and most Syclones make around 320hp but where underrated (Vette rule). If the SRT-10 is faster than a low 13 then's it's faster it only took Dodge how long? The Typhoon/Syclone are still the badest trucks ever made.

Jerry, SS Darts ran high 10's to mid 11's in stock form with slicks. How hard can they launch?
