My heat will take a good while to get hot then not be hot for a while I have no clue on what to do any help will be appreciated

I believe you mean heater heat. Sounds like the Thermostat is sticking open then closes. replace the T-stat I am sure this is your problem..

I already changed the t-stat and flushed radiator sorry I should of said that.

Could be air in the system, check your radiator cap. If it looks suspicious, replace it. Is there still water in your overflow tank? Also, there may be a blend door problem, letting in fresh air even tho you have it over to recirc. Does the heater temperature go up and down the same as engine temp?

I had a similar problem with a 95 windstar. ended up being a leakey head gasket. Not sure if this will help you tho.
