Ya i have one and it works very well,the new style that is.The old style you had to remove the plastic bezel around the latch to install it the new style just fits under the latch handle and works better and easier to install

Thanks for the reply. Good to hear it's a solid lock. Puts my mind at ease. How long did it take you to install yours? Looks like it should take no more than 5-10 minutes. It may take me a couple minutes more since I have to remove the bedliner from the tailgate.

Mine came free with the Bed Rug and it is easy to install. Just be careful not to scratch the paint.

Dan,the new style is very easy to install you just remove the middle torx screw and loosen the other 2 torx screws holding the latch to give you room to slide the pop-lock under the handle and then install the supplied new screw and tighten the other 2 and your done,a 5-10 min job

It locks it by a lever that goes against the latch handle when in the lock position so you cant pull the handle out and open the tailgate,simple and pretty effective

I like the idea of being able to lock up the tailgate, but does anyone know where I can find one for a '91 dodge dakota, it seems that they have discontinued it for the '87-'95 model years.
Is there anyone I can contact about this issue?
