We all like to complain about our problems, lord knows Ive had mine, however these trucks are @#$%-ing TOUGH.

My Dak crushed the back of an explorer without a scratch on my DAK! (silly woman on cell phone slammed on brakes in front of me...I learned not to swerve the hard way after going through the windshield of my last car and just ran into her - oh well)

My daks second conquest was my parents garage.
I live in NH and have a driveway with a 45 degree angle straight into the garage. Well it was snowing/icing and I parked the truck and went inside for the night 10 minutes later the truck slid right down the driveway into the garage still in park with the E-brake engaged. put a good bend in the support beam and shes still pretty as ever - http://www.newpointtech.com/mpw/mpw350/dakota_front.jpg

Thank god it hit that beam or the '72 Chevelle parked inside the garage might have been my DAKs third conquest :-P

I saw the post a while back with a Dodge being shot out of a cannon and still looking great, at least I know the truck really could handle that and now I might even be able to stop afterwards too, with my new powerslot rotors and raybestos quiet stop pads yeeehaww!!!

Yeah I did that too....racing someone here in Colorado Springs. Hit a big rise in the road going about 95 the guys next to me said I was probably about 1-1 1/2 feet off the ground and passed them in the air. When I landed a huge shower of sparks flew out around the truck (it is lowered). But it was nice and smooth, I actually didn't think I was all the way off the ground. Well after a gas station inspection looking for destroyed undercarriage all I found was that the bottom of the frame was nice and shiny. May want to try this again before I paint the frame. he he

Hey Mike W. How are those slotted rotors?
Do they last long in comparison with the OE rotors?
Are they bigger than our OE rotors?
I'm assuming our Dakotas with front wheel ABS have teeth, (kinda looks like a gear) for the abs magnet, anyways do the slotted rotors have this option?
I paid an extra $500 for front abs for a reason and don't want to put non abs rotors in place and trip the light.

Sorry to be an ass and change the subject.

BTW I bump the garage every day to get as close as possible so my roommate can get by
garage is kinda beat up but the truck is just fine lol

As far as the ABS goes, its different from year to year. It doesnt make a difference in a '99 which is what I have, and I do have ABS.

Just make sure you get the right rotors before you order them, they make em both.
