I have a different kind of problem with my 2002 Dakota. A/C & heater worked fine. The very next day I have no a/c, (Now remember this is in Phoenix and it was the 1st 100 degree day), When I push the a/c switch on the dash I get no indicator light. The blower continues to blow hot, Both of the fuses are good and I swapped out the relay under the hood with the wiper relay, (they were both the same numbers and schematics), still nothing. I am hearing everything from a protection of the fan clutch to the actual switch on the dash but I cannot find anything like a step by step process of elimination.

Can anyone help?

Try topping off the freon. The system is built with a low and
high pressure cutoff switches. If the system is low enough the
switch will not let the compressor engage.

And back on its cold again a/c work fine for 15 years until I had a clown trying to make my defrost blow hot witch was air bound by the way I found my compressor un plugged, I wonder if he also let Freon out. thanks for any help.
