I need some input on a bug guard for my 00 QC 4X4. I looked at a Bug Deflector 2 by Vent Visor and it has the tape that actually sticks to the paint. Is there another brand that attaches differently? Possibly something that goes between the hood and the grill ?

The guard on my truck is a 'Profile +'. I am not sure if this is the mfg. company or the name brand. I bought it from Canadian tire but I am sure it is available from other stores.
To install it I loosened the bolts that hold on the grill and slid it in. It also came with the smaller guards for the fenders.
I works good, no more stone chips, doesn't vibrate, and leaves my wipers on the windshield.

Installed a Lund X-terminator on my 2002. Installation is the same as what JJ said. Very easy. Sits low and doesn't vibrate. I highly recommend it. I think I bought it at truckperformance.com. Good luck.
