Well guys, it sure has been great for all the help you have provided. I loved my Dak as all of you have, but the time has come that I need to upgrade. I am going Thursday to test and sign the papers on a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 that I have seemed to have fallen in love with. It is loaded, 4X4, 43K miles, excellent condition, inside and out...plus more! So, I must say my final farewell, and wish you all the best of luck with your Daks...maybe I'll still come and visit in St. Louis this summer!
Also...I've heard the question in posts before, but I haven't found any replies in the archives...is there a RAM site like this one? If not, would there be any way to integrate a RAM portion of this site...so that Dak's and Ram's can live in the same home online...and share the experiences like with our Dak's? Lemme know what you all think...maybe we can get something going! Thanks for your input!

Try dodgetrucks.org, great site, lots of forums, you'll see some of the folks from here. Lots of REALLY knowledgeable Ram guys.

Not to say that the 1500 is not a good truck but I think that anyone who is going to go to a full size truck is better off going to a 2500 no matter what make. I have had full sizes most of my life, even if there not being used to tow or haul a lot of stuff I think there (2500) a better build and value. When it comes to 4x4s this is even more true, the longevity of the 2500 is worth a little more cost. All the components are just a little more "beefy". The reason I went to the Dakota is because I wanted a smaller truck but I still wanted the heavier duty of all of them (yes I know its a Mid size). I try to always go one step above what I need to help in the longevity and for those times I didnt account for. I just thought I might though out some "Steves food for thought". Good luck on the new truck.

well, I just got back from the dealer...I took delivery of my 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 QC Sport 4X4 today...and it is AWESOME! The power increase is slight and almost unnoticeable (YEAH RIGHT!!!!! My dakota had the 3.9 V6...the Ram has the 5.9 V8...it kicks A$$!!!) So I bid you all farewell...it was a great experience, and I hope you all have a great time at the meet in St. Louis over the summer...maybe I'll show up for a day or two on my vacation!

Peace out, bro! (SALUTES) but my dad's truck is better, ahhhhh...hahahahahahahahaha, 97 ram 5.2 v8 dual exhaust, dynomax muffler, sunroof, stepbars, toolbox, infinity sound w/ tweets in tha doors. But you enjoy yours!

This site is still a good one for drive train info asengines are the same andother parts are similar. Moparchat.com is a good one. Dodgetrucks.org is a fairly new one and has good info, good format, good comaraderie, and best of all Lesley posted a topless picture (NO! Not of herself).
