hey all, i posted a similar question a while back, and did get some info...thanks to those who replied. im wondering if it were possible to get a limited slip rear end on my 00 4.7, cc, dak. what im really wondering is, can i get one from a local dodge dealer? how much, etc?

f.y.i. i rode in a tacoma over the weekend....one word...crap. no power and the bed is only like 6 inches deep (ok, maybe an exaggeration, but its real shallow). all i can say is god bless america and her trucks

Mills, I agree with CW you CAN get a factory LSD, but, it is expensive and you have to reset the ring and pinion! I checked it out when we got our used '97 Dak Sport CC 4x4 (came with open diffs) and we chose to get a powertrax unit. I installed it about 2 months ago and it is AWESOME!! Very easy to install(took me about 4 hours in the freezing A$$ cold)! Cost me about $400 from Summit. Not exactly the least expensive but.... Check it out www.powertrax.com

does the fact that i have a peg-leg affect any of this in any way? will the powertrax thing still work?

I got a really, really, really, dumb question about the limited slip. Is that the same thing as the "anti-spin differential". My truck came with one and was wondering exactly what it is. Please excuse my ignorance but, I'm just curious if it's the same thing?
