I HAVE A 02 DAKOTA 4X4, WENT 2 CHANGE MY DIFF. FLUID THE REAR NO PROBLEM BUT THE FRONT (YIKES).HAS ANYBODY CHANGED THE FRONT BEFORE AND IF SO HOW DO U RECOMMEND DOING IT. I COULDNT SYPHON IT OUT UNLIKE THE REAR BECAUSE THE GEARS WERE IN THE WAY OR SOMETHING ELSE AND TAKING THE COVER OFF YEAH RIGHT CANT EVEN GET ACCESS TO THE TOP PORTION 2 MUCH FRONT END PARTS IN THE WAY. ANY IDEAS OR PAST EXPERIENCE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

HAHA have fun they are exceptionaly tight. You can get the bolts out but it is a pain in the a$$. About the only way I know of.

2001 RC 4.7 5sp 9.25" 3.92 LSD
Ported 68mm throttle body, IAT adjuster, 3" flowmaster cat back, TPS @ .76V, 4" cold air, Roadmaster active suspention, Removed Third cat. Electric fan Convertion, Awaiting HO cams.
Working on adjustable fuel pressure with return.

Why are you changing it, new truck? Try using a syphon pump with a small hose, it should go down, if not then i would say forget it, or just have alot of funn and time in removing the cover, I know what ya mean, i looked at mine on my 2002 quad cab 4x4, and said no frickin way..
