Subject: Transmission 1-2 shift problem

Message:
Have a 1996 Dakota 3.9 with a 42RE transmission. I rebuilt tranny a while back at 130,000 miles replaced friction plates & installed seal kit from Chrysler. Used Ammaco brand ATF+3. At the time the tranny had a bad oil leak at the pump o-ring to housing, & a small shifting problem once in a while, from 1st to 2nd at low accelerating. Did not go into valve body during overhaul. Line pressure is 60-68 psi & 90-96 psi if accuvate throttle valve. Governer pressure is 0 psi in (D)range wheels not turning, & gains 1-psi per MPH increase, tops out at 57psi. Throttle valve cable set as per spec. Does governer, sensor play a part in 1-2,& 2-3 shifting? Have not found a post in the archives linking to this type of problem. Please help. Or tell where I might find some answers, thanks.
