Subject: 1999 2000 dash difference?
IP: Logged

Message:
I saw a great looking gauge set on e-bay but it said for 1997 - 1999. I didn't know there was a difference in 2000. Anyone know if they would work?

Maybe not. 2000 had a change in the interior including the dash. The gauges are slightly different also.

I think the only difference is the tach on Daks with the 4.7. I know through 99 all the tachs read up to 6000 RPM, but the Y2K 4.7 reads to 7000. I don't know if non 4.7 Y2K Daks have the 6000 or 7000 RPM tachs.

The Dakota recieved a new instrument panel and dash in 2001 to be the same as the Durango. My 2002 dash is way different than my 99 dash was.
