Thinking of getting a quad cab and can't decide what to get, either the 5.9 with AT or 4.7 with 5spd. Will be getting the 3.92 rear end with limited slip and doing some 4wheeling what do you think is better?

Sticks are way better for wheeling than an auto.

For the type of 4 wheeling that the Dakota is designed for the 4.7 with manual trans will be great. If you plan on alot of moods, turning big tires or towing alot of stuff then go with the 5.9! The 5.9 makes alot more low end Tq. but the automatic is going to be a serious disadvantage in alot 4 wheel drive situations. The new Daks. do not have very much axle articulation at all!!! I love the ride on the pavement but off road it is not a very good 4x4 in stock trim! With that said I should also say that most new 4x4 are not that great off road stock!
