 Subject: gear ratio

I have a question about gear ratio? I just bought a used 00 quad cab 4x4 with the 3.9 and auto trans. I was trying to see what rear i had in the truck but there is no tag on the rear. I have checked the front axle and the tag on there states 3.55. Is it safe to assume that the rear is also 3.55 ?

yes, the front and rear need to be the same ratio

The ratio is always the same frnt and rear on the 4x4 trucks, look at the sticker on inside of glove box lid, it tells you codes, etc...sure grip?
