I drove down to the mini-mall where there was a Hallmark so my wife could go get a couple things as my son and I sat in the truck and waited. He is 4 and stays in the car seat.

So we are sitting patiently and I haer this voice from behind me say, "Look at this a--hole! You think he could hav left me any room?!"

As I turn to look, this guy is coming up between my truck and his piece o' sh*t Ranger thats next to me and notices I am sitting right here. Then he goes off some more -- "Oh look, I was so loud and he's sitting RIGHT here next to me."

So I said, "Yes, I heard ya." And he procedes to call me some other stuff. Mind you, this guy is with his wife and kid too. So the profanity just must come naturally and with no restraint around this guy's house.

He goes around to the driver side and I open my door to look down at where I was parked. I was in the lines and there was more than a foot of space left in my block, and around the same for him.

So then his wife must have freaked I was opening the door, and said something, so he says, "What, does he want to get out of the truck?" SO I replied for her and said I was just looking to see where I was - I thought I was OK". I was REALLY holding my tongue as my son was in the back. Even harder to keep back was the urge to just get out and rip hie arms out of his sockets. If it was really THAT big of a deal to him I would have moved.

Peace and Love in Massachusetts - gotta love it.

All sorts of jerks out there my friend. I was sitting at a light here the other day, these two guys come up behind me and tap my bumper. The light turns green - I go through the intersection and put on the blinker, turn into a parking lot. Now, you would assume these guys would follow me in, say they're sorry, exchange information. Nah... they kept going. Too bad for them I got their tag number. I called a cop friend of mine who ran the tags - no warrants, etc. He said if I called the State Police - they would probably charge them for leaving the scene of an accident. I decided not to do that. Trouble is, the parking lot I turned into is my office. It's hard to miss a Solar Yellow Dakota parked there. My luck - these two a-holes would come back and key it. So, I let it go. No damage to my truck. That's the good thing. My decision was not to "engage" these two -- even though they did break the law. In today's day and age, you never know who's going to break out the gun. Ten years ago, if this had happened, I would have exited my truck immediately after impact to begin body dismemberment. - JIm

I notice this behavior from East Coast people, get out of my way or else!
Which is why I chose not to live around the biggest a$$hole part of the United States.

Hey, it happens all over. I find it worse in NYC than any where else. They got more than they deserved on 9/11. Anyway, you guys that "let it go" are doing the right thing. It isn't easy but those people aren't worth the trouble. I've tried it both ways. I know.(and to think - I am from the peace and love generation)

East Coast people?? Aw, come on. I lived in Indiana for three years. Met some real pieces of work there, as well as my time in San Diego (4 years). They're all over. People are people. Also, 20+ years in the Navy enabled me to meet a wide variety of folks. There are good people everywhere -- there are bad people right along with em. - Jim

Hey Wayne - just re-read your post regarding the people of NY "getting what they deserved on 9/11." Nobody deserved that my friend. I usually tolerate some of the stuff I read in these forums, but I take particular offense with your remarks. Just my opion, however, I don't think you're going to find many who agree with your views. - Jim

JimB-

Wayne wrote that they "got MORE than they deserved"... I think me meant that they did NOT deserve what happened.

Wayne I would kick your a$$ all over NY if you came here and said that. I dont care how you meant that. I know a couple of people that died and a couple of people that got out. I am from NYC and if you dont like how you get treated here then go cry to your mommy and dont ever ever come back. We wont miss you at all. You got some nerve even bringing that into this thread. AS far as Im concerned your from the dumb and stupid generation!!

OffRoadRufus, thanks. You read it correctly. They are a bunch of a$$holes just like BriNY proved in his writing but they are no one else deserves such as that. It was a poor example for me to use. I'll stand with them to fight for our country anyday. I have contributed to them in money and blood and helped send them a new fire truck. They are just not very nice sometimes.
JimB, sorry for the misunderstanding and the use of that situation to try to back up a point.
BriNY, You are right. I shouldn't have even brought that situation up and I am sorry for your losses. I mourn with the rest of the nation. When I was in the Army, I was defending the WHOLE country and their right to act as they want to. As far as you whipping my a$$, I suppose we will never meet so it won't be proven but don't count your chickens before you have seen them. I am humble when I am wrong but I have never stood for someone whipping my a$$. I dish out far more than I take. I left my mothers house when I was 18 and haven't had to go crying back since. That was 34 years ago. BTW, we sent people from our city to cook for the workers and the "nice" NYCPD told them to leave in a rude manner because they didn't have the correct permits to cook on the street. It is a long way to drive from the deep south to help only to be rudely asked to leave. BUT....just like MikeC, they said nothing. Just quietly left.

Wayne - it's hard to interpret someone's point of view in a forum. Words alone are hard to interpret without seeing someone face to face - better to chat face to face for the full meaning (and possible arse whoopin! LOL!!). We're all guilty of getting the wrong point of view across in forums (me included) -- I think I know what you're saying. United we all stand! Peace with ya - Jim

Thanks Jim. You are right. It isn't the first time I was misunderstood. I sure picked a bad example to be misunderstood on. I live and learn. Sorry BriNY. Peace to both of you. '01 wasn't so great in some respects. I hope next year is better for us all.

Im sorry to blow up like that but thats a piss
poor example to use about NY. If you said it
any other way I wouldnt have minded. I know
we are rude, well most of us. Thats what
makes NY NY. I didnt mean I want to realy kick
your ass . It was more of a thing like think
before you speak. Anyway, peace in the U.S.A
and death to all that are against us.
