Subject: Bernd - TB question for you

BERND, you seem to be the performance guru around here so I present you this:

I have a 2000 RT with K&N GenII kit, Jet Stage I, Accel coil and MSD 6A, running Mobil 1 and Autolite 3923's.

What is my next performance add on? Headers or TB? Granted I am still under warranty but I guess with all the stuff I have done, that might be out the window.

I was thinking of a 52mm TB. Keep in mind I dont drag my truck. I just drive it normally and get on it when I need a rush (usually every day). Will a TB give me more low end grunt or is it all up top? I also thought about 1.7 rollers but that might wait until 36k miles.

The JOSH

Josh,

(1) Remove the Jet Stage-I
(2) Install either a Flometrics or Fastman 52mm TB
(3) Install the headers as they compliment the modified TB.

If you're not into drag-racing your truck, the 50mm will work just fine.

Bernd, I trust your advice. But, why remove the Jet chip? Is it hurting my truck? Would you suggest another PCM upgrade? I hear about flashes and stuff or a Mopar performance PCM but don't know which way to go.

Also, where will I notice the improvement from the TB? Up top or down low? Let me know...

Thanks for the response!

Josh
