Subject: Holley vs. F&B TB

Does anyone have flow data on the Holley

At truckperformance you can get a 52mm Holley TB ($429) for about the price of a 50mm F&B ($400). Does the F&B 52mm ($500) flow more than the Holley. They are both 52mm bores. I don't see the advantage of paying an extra $75 for the F&B 52mm unless it flows more somehow. I have a mildy modified 5.2 and plan on doing more to it. I only want to pay around $400 for a TB, so right now it looks like Holley is my choice. Am I missing something about the F&B's?

Just Curious,

Corey

Considering that Flometrics is the original for the Billet 52mm TB, you can be assured that the Flometrics piece is better. (We had a slightly heated argument with Holley at SEMA about this...they changed the subject rather quickly when we presented the Flometrics TB's to them...and then asked where they got the design from.) Holley also had some problems with their 52mm TB's for a while. The Flometrics 52mm flows 790CFM.

For the V6, stay away from the 52mm TB's. It's too big (I'm running a 52mm TB on my V6 now...and even with the Supercharger, it bogs out of the hole.)

So do you think the 50mm F&B would be a better buy than the Holley 52.
My 5.2 will (one day) have M1 2bbl, 1.7 rockers, headers, cat-back, K&N FIPK, Mopar PCM. Will the 50mm F&B feed this combo?
