You don't need to be a member to post your pic in the "viewer's rides" section of the site. You do need to be a member to have a thumbnail appear beside your post and have a "profile" pic.

Blizzard, I read somewhere here that all you had to do was email it as an attachment to this site. I tried that and maybe I was mistaken the instructions. Well, I'll try again tomarrow. Hope it works.
Thanks again, Joe E.

It won't happen overnight, Joe. Mark updates the picture section once in awhile. He's probably waiting til he has enough submitted pics to make it worth his while to go through the pain of updating.

I have been trying to post a "thumbnail". Everytime, I get the message that the "file size exceeds 8000 bytes..."

I have modified the size of the photo, but I'm still at something like 75,000 bytes (way too big).

I only have the Kodak Photo Smart for editing photos. It only allows you to change the size of the photo, not the resolution.

What programs are you guys using to modify photo quality?

Thanks

Bill

As I have read some of these threads I sometimes find photos and Hi-lighted Links in the Message area is this something that members can do, or are these the web host's working there own magic ?

I've been using MGI Photosuite to resize pics. Got it free with some other software. Pretty easy to use.

If you can't get your pic resized down enough, feel free to email me the pic and I can get it down to size. ;o)

I use Paint Shop Pro to edit my pics. It works well and tells me the file size as soon as I modify it.

DakotaDan - Anyone with a base knowledge of HTML can make clickable links as well as post small pics here. And no, you don't need to be a member.

To make a link, write it out like this, but replace the [ ] with< >

[A HREF="http://www.yoursitehere.com"]www.yoursitehere.com[/A]

The section in the "" is the actual web address and the part just before [/A] is what will appear on the post.

To post a pic in your post it will need to be already on the net somewhere. An example would be (and again substitute [ ] with < > when you're posting

[img src="http://www.yoursitehere.com/yourpic.jpg"][/A]

Hope this helps
