Subject: Plenum Pan gasket part #.

Hello all, just was wondering if anyone had the part number for the new plenum pan gasket? I tore mine apart over the weekend to fix it. Bought it used from the dealer and discovered the problem right away. They supposedly fixed it, but after only 3 months it was leaking pretty bad. I don't think they did any work on it at all. The part number off of the gasket is 53006623AB. This doesn't match any of the part numbers I have seen for the new gasket. They were also supposed to replace the old plenum pan, all the bolts and the intake gaskets, but after removing the intake gaskets they were not mopar parts, they had the same number on them as the ones I bought from NAPA. Unfortunately I don't have the receipt from when the dealer supposedly did this work. My wife thinks she threw it away. Anyway just curious to know if the dealer pulled a fast one on me. Thanks,

Shawn

I have no idea what the part number is (sorry), but I have heard that the gasket is basically crap.

With that said, since you have your engine torn apart, you might want to consider an alternative to the gasket. The following link details a bellypan fix on a modified v8 and it has held up fine since the fix. The link is:

Hope this helps,

Or just get the 2bbl M1 intake manifold, and never have to worry about any intake plenum gasket ever again. Plus you will get an increase in perfromance.

That's true, but for those of us who are underappreciated by performance parts makers (read v6's) our choices are limited to the barrel intake and the crappy plenum gasket.

Thanks All,

I did do the fix on Jon's website. I haven't had a chance to do the vacum test. It is running smoother/little more power, but that could just be the cold weather. We are finally getting winter up here in MN. I need to replace the plugs yet before it gets too cold. Thanks again.

Shawn
