Subject: Bug Deflectors?
IP: Logged

Message:
Does anyon ehere have any before/after experience with bug deflectors? During the spring/summer and fall months the bugs are horrendous on Highway 20 between the rice fields of Northern California. I was wondering if a bug deflector is worth the investment?

How about bras?

Any opinions?

Hey Dave, I know it's an s10 (mine) but anyways I had the truck little over 2 years my bug deflector didn't do sh!t for the windshield but I'll tell ya what it kept bugs from imbedding into my hood. as far as bras I heard there a b!tch, if you ever get lazy and don't remove it when you wash the truck, dirt gets in between the bra and the paint and leaves nice scratches, also if you leave it on for years and decide to remove it there will be a non-faded area where the bra was. but the bra will protect more than a bugdeflector, hope this helps

Well.. I have a Lund Interceptor (3 piece) on mine and I just love it...

Especially when you see a big fat bug headin' right for ya on the highway and then WOOOSH... up and over the top (no splatter).

We have a Lund x-terminator. Matches the black trim of the truck and will match the black step bars we will soon get. As for deflect bugs, NO!!
Minimal bug deflection. Maybe the lund interceptor has a better edge to force air up and compared to the lund x-terminator. THe lund x-terminator has a swept back look and no top edge to force air up. Did find good prices at www.basspro.com.
