I have a question about taking my truck into the dealer for an issue that will involve the warranty. Sometimes when its cold, like 30 tonight, I started my truck, put in Drive and it almost died, then the trans kicked in and about gave me whiplash. Will the dealer frown on seeing the removal of the airhat and a cold air intake and K&N setup? I have seen on Speedtweaks that this won't void the warranty but I was curious to see if anyone had any confrontations with a dealer for diagnostics/repair work when the engine had been modified in this manor? Shall I install the factory setup to take it in or leave it the way it is. I feel I should be up-front and leave it, like I drive it, but I am not looking for any hassles. Does anyone think I'll be hassled if I leave the intak setup on? I have 9000 miles on a 01 QC 4x4

you should be ok but ya never know, if you still have the stock sh!t just put it back on that way you won't have to worry about it and I don't think your intake mod has anything to do with the prob so putting the stock stuff back on won't cause the prob to go away

Well the way I see it is the dealership will look for any excuse to get out of spending their money to fix your truck and if they see that U messed w/ the intake they'll say well you took the factory intake box off. Then they'd probably say this would've never happened had U not messed w/ the OEM box. I could be wrong but if I were you I'd put the stock box back on and act like you never did anything at all and see if they can diagnose it.
