I know I posted this before, but I went to research the TSB on this, and the only one I found (210399)doesn't apply to my truck, according to the dealer. He said that the TSB applies only to certain tranny serials, and mine isn't one of them!
Has anyone else found any more information on this issue? My only alternative is to take a day off and go driving with the service manager (at least I'd get to miss a day of work!)

I had this very same problem, it drove me crazy until the dealer told me about the TSB. My truck is a 2000 Club Cab V6 5 spd.

The only way I got them to fix it is make them pay for a rental car. I took my 2000 CC 4x4 5spd to them and said keep it til you fix it. On the 3rd day demanded a rental car. Wow the same day I got the rental car they recreated the proplem. Replaced the tranny.
They said it was bad syncros. Well cuz it took them 8000 miles to find out that was the prob. They replaced the tranny.
So make them pay for a rental. Get DC in the picture.

The TSB they found on mine said the problem was the shift rail and detent spring (I believe). The dealership never did recreate the problem, I just got lucky with the TSB when I took the truck in for warped front rotors.

They can't recreate the problem either! I've taken it in twice already. Everyone else I've driven with has seen the problem.
What are syncros, and is this something they can look at easily?

These make it so the gears do not grind when you shift gears(in a easy way to describ it). No it is not easy to look at. Get DC involved. I would hope they have good buisness ethics, but I started to think that they did not even look at the truck the 3 times they had it. And on the 3rd time when I made them pay for a rental is when they looked at it. Even tho I called them atleast 3 times a day. I think you had the same prob as I. You have the problem of
When you put a load on the tranny from a stop it would pop out of 1st. violently? Right?
Go the the service managers boss. He should give you his number and call him. Start getting everyone involved and make the SH*T roll down hill. You have a warrenty make them HONOR it!
