I dont know how you guys can do it unless you are just like me but, we all know about the 1,000 mile break in period on trucks/cars... well geez, rush hour in my city is a huge event and all I know is when I do hit 1,000 miles, my truck is going to blow up =D Man, stop/go *repeat several times* slam on gas *repeat as needed to try and cut off the a-hole who wont let you in* Geez, only if Dakotas came with sirens and blue/red lights stock =D

What's the break-in period you're talking about? All mine said was that during the first 1000 miles, "while cruising, frequent full-throttle accelerations (within accordance with local laws) will result in a good break-in." -- boy ... my truck's broken in REAL good.

where is the 1000 miles coming from?
the owners manual says " drive moderatly for the first 300 miles. after the first 60 miles speeds up to 55 contribute to good break in. Several full throttle jabs are good. Never from a dead stop."
