I just bought a 1996 Dodge Dakota sport. It's black and is a club cab. V6, 5-speed, and i love it. Does anybody out there know anything about the 1996's like the in and outs and what i should know about them. It only has 41000 mile on it. Try and take a guess what I payed for it too. Soon when I get some pics of her I'll have my own site so be look'n for it soon.

Okay, Bob is right I did steal it but Russ was the closest. I paid $4995. There is nothing wrong with it either. When I get some pics of it I'll show it off and you can see the deal I got. The only thing that wasa wrong with it was the timming hain was off and I had to fix it but nothing hard bot that. I thought I got a good deal since it is my first vehicle also.

No I haven't checked with Edmunds.com but I did check KBB.com(Kelly's blue Book) The price was $11,530.

I bought my 96 Dakota (Sport, V6 regular cab) two years ago for $9500, and haven't done a thing to it, except replace the coil. Now has 48,000 miles on it. It's my second Dakota, and it's a great truck. I just finished using it to haul 5,000 pounds of brick (no, not all at the same time) and a couple thousand pounds of rock. Pulls like a champ, even overloaded. It does have a little valve noise, but I've had a couple of folks tell me it's nothing to worry about.

Cool. I haven't loaded anything in mine yet. I'm sure she'll have no problem. My truck had a valve tap and the driving chains timing was off but it was nothing that couldn't be fixed. other thatn that it is sweet.

Man. I was talking to a mechanic about putting duals on my truck. He said they are getting outlawed in Delaware. Does anybody know anything about that new law coming in Delaware?

Don't see how they can outlaw them since they don't effect emissions. Noise levels are another story but that can be controlled as well.

I was thinking about putting fender flares on my truck. They are sooo expensive around here and I was wondering if anybody knew of a place on the internet where they are cheap and nice quality.
