 Subject: My first real kill

Got my first real kill tonoght. Me and a freind were driving down a not so busy three lane road and I was in the far right. Out of the corner of my eye, I see this red truck flying up to me and beyond so I punch it and stay level with him just as he catches me. I look back and they go across into my lane and follow me. I turn off onto a not so busy street and hope we catch a red light as he pulls into the lane next to me. We were lucky and the next light we came to was red so we lined up. I didnt rev or anything, just made sure my O/D Off button was pressed. As I am getting ready, my freind tells me to roll my window down and when I do, the driver of the new 4x4 s-10 says he only has a six. Oh well, a race is a race. Light goes green, we punch it and I take him at the line a bit. We are pretty much even until he chirps em' in second(stick shift) and then I slowly start to pull away as I feel my auto tranny down-shift. I put a good 2 truck lengths between us before he called it quits. I was driving my 93 4x4 dak with 318, auto tranny, 3.55's and 31x10.5 A/T's. His truck looked brand new and my needs some work. I need air filter(I got a really dirty fram), IAC, oxygen sensor, shocks, waterpump, really need exhaust(got a leak at the clamp in front of the muffler, at the manifolds, the "pin" hole belowe the outlet pipe is about 1/4" in diameter and its the original exhaust). So you can see, my truck needs some work plus it has over 110,000 miles on it. So sure, it wasnt a fair fight, but you can bet, I'll be looking for some V-6 emblems so they wont have any idea next time. Tell me what you think.

The reason you won was the exhaust leak, lol. thad be cool if you put the v6 badges on.

What do you mean about the exhaust leak? I think it would be cool too. Once one of those smug S-10 Extreme guys sees the V6 badge and its a 4x4 to boot, he'll figure its an easy kill. So when I lay into him with that V8, he wont be so smug next time.
