 Subject: 91 2.5-L Dakota fuel pump

My son just got a 91 2.5-L Dakota for work. We got
it home and started going through it and found
where they changed the pig tails for the fuel
pump. Needless to say we replaced the fuel pump
and the pig tails back to the original parts. But
now we can't get it to start. I checked the power
on the pig tail. I get 56.0 MV on first, 12v on
second, 2589 MV on third, and fourth and fifth are
grounds. I looked for fusses and relays but
everything i have looked at say it doesn't have
them. Any ideas on how to figure this out would be
greatly appreciated.
