 Subject: Low oil (04) 4.7 161598 miles

The problem is that when i do an oil change the
dip stick (which is stock) with 6 quarts of oil it
only shows about 3/8 of an inch the dip stick. the
oil light keeps coming on even after changing the
oil pump which was changed because of 9 lbs of
pressure at idle. while on jacks stands it was the
same place on the dip stick anyone got an idea
what is going on to bring it to the full mark
would take two quarts of oil
