 Subject: gauge cluster fail now no bus error

At first all Warning light were always on but
non of my gauges worked. I knew the sensors
were working because I could look at my speedo,
tach, and temp using the obdII port. I found a
9.56v on pins 3 & 11 on the obdII port should
be 2.5v I believe. tracked the problem to the
instrument cluster and replaced it now my
gauges work. however, I now get a no bus error
and all my warning lights are still on. I've
tested 3 & 11 again and get 4.5v now I also
noticed if I lift the emergency brake pedal the
instrument cluster shuts off completely. I have
no trouble codes and the truck runs and drives
like new. Anyone with more experience with
Dakotas have any thoughts on this?

I located a faulty wire on interment cluster c1
plug (That is the right hand plug behind interment
cluster) pin 4 Z2 20BK/LG GROUND (right column,
2nd pin down, black wire with green stripe)
original cluster also works fine now.
