 Subject: 97 Dakota Speedometer Problem

I have a 97 5.2 4x4 manual Dakota. Raised and on
37 inch tires. (don't know if that is part of the
problem)
My problem is that the Speedometer jumps around
when regularly driving around town. It happens
mostly when accelerating. Also when accelerating
in first gear above 3000 RPM's the motor will cut
out, as if I jerked my foot off the gas pedal.
My first thought was the speed sensor. replaced it
and am still with the same problem.
No DTC's but I ran diagnostics for instrument
cluster and came up with code 950.
Any help would be appriciated.
