 Subject: How Does Farm Bureau Rebate Work?

Can anyone tell me how the Farm Bureau rebate works? Does it come direct from Dodge? Is it taken off of the sale price before tax, or after tax like the Dodge incentives??

YOU HAVE TO BE A MEMBER FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR PURCHASE. AFTER THAT LET THE DEALER KNOW THAT YOU ARE A FARM BUREAU MEMBER AND THEY WILL TAKE THE $500 DOLLARS OFF JUST LIKE A REGULAR REBATE. YOU WILL THEN HAVE TO GO TO FARM BUREAU AND HAVE THEM TO GIVE YOU A DODGE CERTIFICATE TO TAKE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY WILL CALL IT IN TO THE HOME OFFICE AND GET YOU A AUTHORIZATION NUMBER AND YOU WILL THEN TAKE THE CERTIFICATE BACK TO THE DEALER. MAKE SURE THAT THE NAME ON THE FARM BUREAU ACCOUNT IS THE SAME AS WHATS ON THE PAPERWORK THAT THE DEALER TURNS IN TO DODGE BECAUSE IF NOT THEN DODGE WON'T HONOR IT. ALSO IF YOU WERE A FARM BUREAU MEMBER AND DID NOT GET THE DISCOUNT OR WAS UNAWARE THAT YOU COULD GET IT. LET THE DEALERSHIP KNOW AND THEY WILL HAVE YOU GET A DODGE CERTIFICATE THAT THEY WILL SEND TO DODGE AND DODGE WILL SEND YOU A CHECK FOR $500.

Its actually a membership. So you pay $35 to the FB and after 30 of being a member they will send you a $500 certificate in the mail. You need that certificate to give to the dealer, they don't do it for you (at least for me). Its worth it for 35 bucks!

You can actually order the truck and then join the FB as well. As long as it takes at least 30 days to arrive you are OK because you need to be a member 30 days at the point you actually take delivery. Let the FB know what you are doing when you join and they can have the certificate ready when the 30 days arrives.

Ordered the truck today and joined FB today ($40).
The dealer says that the rebate is deducted like the Chrysler rebate....after full cost is taxed. Does this sound right? So then I am paying tax on $$$ that will be rebated later. ANyone have any info on this?
