Ok I wanna do something unique with an '87 Dak and feel like dropping a slant 6 in it. I figured a later 225 with an Nv3500 tranny. Might rig up a 2bbl using the existing 1bbl manifold. Any suggestions??

That sounds different, but there are lots of 2bbl intake manifolds around junk yards plus the adapter to mount a 2 bll. on a 1bbl doesnt work very well at all. The factory installed a lot of 2bbl, on some of the later model stuff, so I would try to find one first.
The slant6 is going to be a bit longer than the V6, keep us posted I would like to hear how it turns out.
Good Luck

Offenhauser makes a 4bbl intake for the slant 6 &
hooker makes a header. I had one awhile back with a
Comp cams 252 mag and holley 390. She could get up
an go and cook the tires when you wanted to show
off.

Looks like I'm about to end up with a '95 with a bad 2.5 in it. Got it dirt cheap and even comes with some Cragars on it. I'm going to use it as a parts truck, so I'll trade for an '87 nose and tinker with it in my spare time. Once I've harvested all the parts I need that will be my slant 6 project. Have too much $$$ in my '94 to put it aside, so it will be a few months until I can start some serious work on this one. Too many Dakotas!!!

About space - If they can stuff a 318 in there a slant 6 should go in fine.
