I have a 2005 dakota, 4.7 liter, 6 speed tranny. When you have the clutch in and while you are letting it out it makes a really bad whinny/screaming noise. It doesn't do it all the time right now, but it has been getting worse. Anyone have an idea? I am thinking a bearing or the clutch is going out.

It is probably the throwout bearing failing. It
will continue to get worse.

You may as well plan on replacing the entire clutch
assembly soon. The labor to replace the bearing
isn't much less than that of doing the entire
clutch.
