Thanks Todd. My only concern is the gear ratios for the AX-15 vs. the NV3500. A friend said they are probably the same, but then again he couldn't tell me what they are. My biggest issue is there is a lot of slack in the gears and reverse is almost shot. Previous owner was a tight wad and it looks like the trans has had work, but all I think he did was have some new synchro rings insalled for the forward gears. Shifts nice and tight, just a lot of slack mainly in 3rd gear. Had to get used to "finding" reverse. This dakota came from Louisiana and it's amzing it's still in one piece.
