Subject: Torque for Balljoint Bolts
IP: Logged

Message:
I'm about to replace my upper and lower balljoints on a '04 2WD dak. I'm just wondering what the torque should be on the ball joint-to-control arm bolts. Four bolts on the lower and three on the upper.
Thanks

Message:
From the Upper Ball Joint recall TSB, the nuts for the upper ball joints should be tightened to 50 fr. lbs.

This torque spec is for the bolts and nuts that come with the ball joint package, not for run-of-the-mill Grade 8 hardware store bolts.

I don't have info for bottom ball joints.
