the colorado is a midesize, technically

*Compact*. No larget than the S-10. If there's any truck I would even want to test drive I guess it would be the Raptor and the new GM fullsize heavy duty equipt with an all new 7.0L V8. Probably the next Camaro Engine!

I was at the local dealer and the salesman told me it was because the Dakota was competing with the 1500 sales in the half ton market. He said something about Fiat(?) making a small pick up for Dodge,kind of along the lines of the old S-10's

I don't see how it could compete with a full-size truck like the Ram if you looking for a comfortable space such as a crew cab; but if you just want to have a regular cab truck, and do minimum hauling and towing, then why not have a Dakota!

Prepare of the Hi Prefomance take off maneuver. It just requires shooting down the runway at 110 KTS and the pulling stight back on the yoke as fast as you can. Then that should put up at about 200 ft per second going at almost a 90.

You know, if it's based off the Cherokee platform I wouldn't have such a problem with that, but I still like the idea of a steal frame on body truck, regardless of what they say about unibody SUVs’.
