 Subject: 2005 trailer wire problem

Problem is that trailer running lights won't work but brake, turns, hazards all work (on any trailer). Checked fuse box. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Check to see if there is 12 volts for the running light circuit at the connector at the rear of your truck when the running lights are on. If so, problem will most likely be a severed wire on the trailer. We can rule out a bad ground (common trailer wire problem) since the other lights work. Any further questions, it could help to know if you are asking about a 4 wire or 7 wire connector.
