Angelita, you need to check the codes. Turn the key on/off/on/off/on within 15 seconds. By "on" I mean "on" not "start". Then the odometer will display the codes as PXXXX and Pdone when it's finished or no codes are present. Post back here with the codes. It may not be the O2 sensor.

Sometimes a weak battery will still start the truck but it may not idle until the altenator brings the battery voltage back up to where it needs to be.

If your truck misbehaves on a *cold start*, it's NOT the O2 sensor. The sensor is ignored for about the first two minutes of cold operation. Check fault codes as daddio suggested. Sometimes a faulty MAP sensor will cause an O2 code to be stored. MAP sensor will cause trouble at all times - starting hot or cold, running hot or cold.
