 Subject: what transmission do i have?

in my 2000 dakota 3.9l 5 speed manual transmission regular cab 2wd?
i have a cracked extension housing and am trying to find a new one.
i think the fluid may have leaked out so i also need to know what size allen key/hex wrench i need for the transmission fill plug to check the tranny fluid.

you have an NV3500HD. can't remember what size those drain plugs are, maybe 13mm.

Yep, it's a NV3500. I think the HD was on the 5.2L or 318 V8.
Now they use the NVG 36.
